The Bulgarian Center is proud to be chosen by Ten Thousand Villages to participate in the store’s Holiday Shopping Night program, which entitles the Center to receive a percentage of all net salesmade in the store between 6:00 and 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 28.
During that two-hour period we will inform the store’s customers of our mission, history, and contributions to the community. And, as a special treat, we will offer store visitors a taste of our delicious banitza.
Ten Thousand Villages is a non-profit, fair-trade retail store – one of 160 such stores in the U.S. and Canada. The mission of the store is to provide vital, fair income to artisans of developing countries by selling their handicrafts and telling their stories to customers. Take a look at their website to get a glimpse of some of the unique items produced by over 100 artisans groups in 30 countries.
Your November 30 purchase will help globally – by contributing to the welfare of world artisans, and will help locally – by helping fund the Bulgarian Center’s important cultural, educational and preservation programs.
